HISTORY

Calvary Christian School was established in 1973 by a group of concerned Christians who believed that quality Christian Education should be available to children in the greater Newark area.

It is a private, non-denominational non-profit Christian School. The School operates on the premise that God gave the responsibility for educating children to the parents, rather than the Church or State. The School is operated to assist parents in fulfilling this great responsibility.

ACADEMIC STANDARDS

Annual standardized testing indicates above average achievement level. Our program meets State standards, although not subject to its controls. This makes it possible for our students to transfer to other institutions of higher learning and even enter the college of their choice, without loss of credit or grade standing. We try to direct parents to secondary schools with similar standards, so that God's work in their child's life might continue.

PURPOSES

• To train Christian leaders in accordance with the Word of God.
• To challenge each student to reach their full potential.
• To provide academic instruction which will equip each student with a solid foundation in the basic skills.
• To help students find the wonderful plan God has for their lives.
• To provide personal attention through small class size. (Maximum 18)
